Food is good, but unfortunately you wait a long time for it. The portions could also be bigger.

Lousy service. I personally made an appointment two weeks ago with a phone number. Was there for the appointment and it was closed.

We ate here yesterday. We gave the restaurant a positive rating in EVERYTHING. We are happy to recommend it and can only recommend it to anyone who wants to eat well. When we are in Hildesheim again from the Westerwald, we will definitely visit this restaurant again.

Apparently they don't know about Corona there. The staff only wears the masks written down to a limited extent: (Food, however, was very good.

Yesterday was the umpteenth time in Mexcal and was not disappointed again. The food is just great and the service is absolutely exemplary. Always happy and clear recommendation.

Today dinner was the order of the day: Mexican plate as a starter, enchilladas filled with chili con carne as a main course, plus 2 corona beers with lime wedges. Food was delicious and hot, the beer well chilled. Come all here and see for yourself. There is definitely a recommendation from me !!!!!!

We went to the Mexcal in Hildesheim for the first time yesterday. Our table was reserved for 7 p.m. The drinks we ordered (there were four of us) came about half an hour later. Whereupon it was said that a drink was not in the range, which is why we had to wait again. We waited 2 hours for the food. An order was missing when the food was brought. Fortunately, this followed quickly. While our neighboring table was offered something as compensation, we were still ignored. One of the service staff seemed so annoyed by everything that she announced this to the guests by loudly slamming plates, loudly exhaling (moaning) and rolling eyes. When my friend ordered a Coke Zero from this service person and she wanted to hand her a Coke, my friend said that she had ordered a Coke Zero. Instead of just taking it back with her to correct it, she received an even more outrageous answer: "The receipt said cola, I have a cola here." Then my friend said that she doesn't want this. The waitress turned and left. (No apology) I am disappointed with last night. It is undesirable for the food to be brought to the table two hours later. Due to the abundance of the restaurant, that would have been acceptable for me. Treating guests differently, with some receiving compensation and others not, is a no go. Dealing with us as guests is embarrassing to me. I have never experienced this ignorance and arrogance in gastronomy. I was grateful when we were allowed to pay a nice gentleman. I give one star for the food and the interior design of the restaurant.

After we reservated a tabel and they accepted it. After we areived they said there isn't any free.... Way to destroy a Saturday evening.

We reserved table for 7, and when we came we were asked to sit outside on cold and wait, because there were no free tables. Really unprofessional!

In my opinion the best restaurant in Hildesheim. The menu has many typical Mexican and other culinary dishes, with which I have never been disappointed. A wide selection of cocktails also makes your heart beat faster and thanks to the "permanent" happy hour this is not too much of a burden. Only the service could sometimes be faster, but this is made up for by the friendliness of the waiters.

I went to dinner here with a friend. The food was delicious and we ordered a cocktail with it. Happy hour starts there every day from 5pm. The atmosphere was also very nice, music was playing in the background (pop) and the outside area was decorated with colorful lights and other decorative items. The only "negative" thing we noticed is that we had to wait a long time (approx. 30 minutes) until we could order something and that only because I got up myself and said we would like to order. In defense, however, you have to say that Mexical was full at this point (almost all tables were occupied) and we were also sitting in a back corner, so that you might have tunnel vision through all the stress and not see us. Still, I would definitely come back.

Super great restaurant❤ we are thrilled we haven't had such a great evening in a restaurant for a long time! Highest quality in the food and drinks as well as a super friendly and courteous service. If you don't try the restaurant, it's your own fault!

Food was normal, as you would expect from a Mexican. Tastes ok, but also not an outstanding highlight. Ambience is cozy / pleasant. Staff friendly, but a little more attention would have been desirable.

Ambience, service and cocktails were really great! The dessert was delicious and really well presented. Only the food we ordered lacked the "special something".

Food and service very good. Dishes are freshly prepared. Therefore, my special request to leave the peppers out of the vegetables was no problem at all! Unfortunately, this is not the case with every Mexican restaurant in Germany. Therefore I particularly like to emphasize the good service here!

Excellent service and food! Everything was fresh and freshly made and the taste of the meals is delicious, which shows that they have very good cuisine. If we return to this city, we repeat for sure.

The place is beautiful but the food is not that good.

Nice place to go to eat we were all nice with eleven people because the large table. The lighting is wonderful, the volume was really pleasant during the day. It is fairly clear and tidy the service is nice and friendly and always runs around and looks if you want something new but they were not pushy. Overall, I can really only recommend the shop if you want to eat something really nice you get a nice big portion for your money.
